Why some supplier quote a much cheaper price for “ the same “ product?

During the negotiation with clients, we always heard that “Why other supplier’s price is cheaper than yours for 'the same' product”,“Another factory quote me an lower price for this bottle ”,”another supplier gave us an much lower cost for ‘the same’ item ,like .”.......and so on

Is that real “the same” item/product? Or Does our prices are really much higher than others of the same product? Definitely no.

So why some supplier quote a much cheaper price for”the same” product? Let us see below:

1.“The same” from other supplier is not really the same.

Many times, if the price difference is very big, it has a great chance that there are may details are different tough they looks the same from pictures, like bottle weight,cap weight,cap material and decorations etc.

2.Quality

Also, we know there are differences quality in the market. Not only the quality of material(I.e.we use new zamac material,but some supplier use recycle zamac ), also the quality of decoration(some supplier quote fire polish as hand polish),molds,etc .

3. Some supplier using lowest price to attract customer’s interest at beginning.

As I know, the lowest price is become a sales method which to attract customers’ attention and get a chance from client at beginning. As before we start cooperation, the prices are the first direct/intuitive option on supplier. However, they probably will increase the price after as no one will do business which will loose money.
